TorchNeuron makes running Hugging Face models on AWS Trainium easier
Hugging Face announced TorchNeuron, a new native PyTorch backend for AWS Trainium that will enter public beta on Oct. 20, 2026. The update brings direct support in Transformers, Diffusers, Accelerate, PEFT, and TRL, reducing reliance on Optimum Neuron for Trainium and Inferentia workflows.
