Business✦ Emerging
From a business perspective, System 7 may open small niches around nostalgia, education, or community experiences, especially when delivered on web desktops. But the opportunity looks more like experimentation and clearly defined target communities than a mass market.
Developers✦ Emerging
With a platform like System 7 getting renewed attention through chat-room simulators for web desktops, developers will need to think more about reproducing legacy UI and behavior in a modern web environment. The work shifts toward integration, compatibility, and preserving interaction feel rather than only building new features.
Product→ Steady
Product managers will need to evaluate System 7 as an experience platform that can differentiate nostalgic or niche community products. The key question is whether the value lies in fidelity to the old interface or in easy access through the web.
Testers / QA✦ Emerging
Testing will need to pay more attention to legacy UI behaviors, nonstandard interaction flows, and stability in the browser. For simulations like this, checking usability feel and compatibility bugs becomes as important as pure functional testing.
