Cognition launches SWE-2 coding model
Cognition introduced SWE-2, its newest coding model, claiming it improves the cost-performance frontier and reaches 50.0% on FrontierCode 1.1 Main while being significantly cheaper than competing models. The company says SWE-2 scales reinforcement learning to a multi-trillion-parameter regime and is now available in Devin Desktop and CLI, with rollout to Devin Web and Fusion underway.
