Cloudflare re-evaluated remote Spectre attacks against its Workers runtime and found a limitation in its Dynamic Process Isolation defense. The company demonstrated a reliable attack in production conditions, then improved mitigations by strengthening DyPrIs, adding the V8 Sandbox, and introducing an in-process isolation mechanism. Cloudflare says the issue is already mitigated in production and no signs of active exploitation were found in the past three years.
