Claude Opus 5 Used to Break OpenAI Forum and Access Private Repo
Security researchers at Hacktron AI used Anthropic's Claude Opus 5 to turn a library vulnerability into remote code execution on a Discourse forum and then pivot into OpenAI's internal environment through an overly permissive single sign-on setup. The incident also showed that the model could autonomously develop a working exploit in an agent loop, including on a local Discourse target.
