SondeHub began in 2018 as a simple domain redirect for radiosonde filtering on Habhub, but later evolved into its own ingestion, backend, and prediction system as the original services struggled under load. The platform expanded into reverse predictions, launch-site detection, and government/military-related use cases, including requests to remove sensitive locations from maps.
