Why smarter people are not always happier

This article examines the long-running assumption that higher intelligence should lead to greater happiness, and argues that the evidence does not support a strong positive relationship. It cites prior studies and the General Social Survey to show that higher test scores are associated with little to no increase in reported happiness, and in one analysis a slight negative correlation.
