FreeCORE Fork Revives TrueNAS CORE Features on FreeBSD 15
FreeCORE is a community fork that upgrades TrueNAS CORE to FreeBSD 15.0 and restores features such as FreeBSD Jails, virtualization, and OpenZFS integration. The project addresses demand from users who preferred the FreeBSD-based TrueNAS CORE stack after TrueNAS SCALE moved to Debian, though its long-term maintenance by a single developer raises sustainability concerns.
