LG Electronics USA says it will suspend smart TV apps that embed residential proxy SDKs unless developers remove the feature from their webOS apps. The move follows research showing that more than 42% of LG smart TV apps and over a quarter of Samsung Tizen apps include components that can turn TVs into always-on proxy nodes.
