Security researchers found that H96 TV streaming devices were not only used in a covert ad-fraud operation, but also spoofed themselves as mobile phones to click ads on AI-generated websites. The operation was traced to Zhejiang Fengwo IoT Technology and its Fengwo Group network, which used telemetry, app-based control, and Blockly-built workflows to coordinate the scheme.
