Anthropic Moves Cowork Inference and Sandboxes to the Cloud
Anthropic says the new version of Cowork runs both model inference and its execution sandbox in the cloud rather than on the user's device. The change is intended to reduce local battery, disk, and performance costs while also allowing sessions to continue running after a laptop is closed and making the product usable from phones.
